A daily glance inside the numbers from the world of sports:

NCAA Tournament

• Pittsburgh made 31 of 46 field goals (67.4 percent) in its 79-64 win over Kent State. In the last 10 years, the only team to make at least two-thirds of its shots in a NCAA Tournament game was Kansas, which made 40 of 59 (67.8 percent) against Arizona State in the second round in 2003.

Pitt's Ronald Ramon and Aaron Gray each went 6-for-6 from the floor in the game. They are first teammates to take at least five field goal attempts in an NCAA Tournament game and make each one since 1973, when Providence's Marvin Barnes was 10-for-10 and Charles Crawford was 6-for-6 in a Sweet Sixteen win over Pennsylvania.
