Goalie Thomas nets three-year extension from Bruins

BOSTON -- Goalie Tim Thomas signed a three-year contract extension with the Boston Bruins, general manager Mike O'Connell said Saturday.

In his first extended stay in the NHL, Thomas has gone 9-7-5 in 23 games this season with a 2.34 goals-against average and .927 save percentage.

The 31-year-old Thomas signed a one-year deal with Boston in September and played 26 games with the Bruins' AHL affiliate in Providence, R.I., before getting called up to Boston on Jan. 10 when ...
