Angels name change lawsuit costs Anaheim $3.5M

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The city of Anaheim has spent over $3.5 million so far in its failed legal bid to get its baseball team to change its name back to Anaheim Angels.

After the team changed its name to Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim last year, the city filed suit in Superior Court charging that the move breached a stadium lease agreement. A Superior Court jury ruled in the team's favor earlier this year.
