MLB • The Royals took a 6-0 lead, but lost to the Tigers, 13-8. Kansas City became the first major-league team in 107 years to lose a game after leading by at least six runs and thus extend a losing streak to 13-or-more games. The last team to do that was the 1899 Cleveland Spiders, who blew a seven-run lead at Washington on Sept. 16, dropping their 24th consecutive game.
