Were Vick's two big weeks merely a mirage?

Looking back, it's more conspicuous than the junk in Alge Crumpler's trunk.

Two head-turning performances by Atlanta QB Michael Vick weren't so much a coming of age for a young quarterback as they were the end of two farces that had been considered dangerous defenses.

When Vick threw for a combined 523 yards, seven touchdowns and only two picks; completed 64.9 percent of his pass attempts; and still delivered his customary rushing brilliance (95 yards) against Pittsburgh and Cincinnati in Weeks 7 and 8, we fawned. So this is what Mike Vick, complete NFL quarterback, was supposed to look like? Worth the wait.
