Stoops: Peterson won't play vs. Oklahoma State
STILLWATER, Okla. -- Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said Monday that a broken collarbone will keep star tailback Adrian Peterson out of this week's rivalry game at Oklahoma State.
It was the first time Stoops has ruled out Peterson, the 2004 Heisman runner-up, for the Bedlam game Saturday in Stillwater.
Doctors initially expected Peterson to be able to return six weeks after his collarbone snapped on a touchdown run against Iowa State on Oct. 14. This is the sixth week since the injury.
