Dawkins continues to make plays

Brian Dawkins should get NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his great play in the Eagles victory over the Giants. Dawkins was all over the field making plays and provided inspiration to his fellow players like a leader should do. Dawkins had 12 combined tackles, one interception, two passes defended and two forced fumbles. Not a bad days work for the 11-year veterans who was playing hurt after injuring his calf in warmups.

Giants still in the hunt
The Giants are still in the race for a wild card spot, but winning their last two games would almost guarantee a trip to the playoffs. They face the most explosive offense in the NFC on Sunday when they take on the New Orleans Saints, who were proven beatable last week by the Redskins. The Giants could make the playoffs with a record of 8-8 but could use some help either way. They need to start acting like a playoff team by finding a way to come together and focus on getting to the playoffs instead of pointing fingers when things go bad.
