Big bass hopes for one of Alabama's best
A much different and much better fishery than in 1996
When Lay Lake was designated as the site for the CITGO BASS Masters Classic this year, some fishermen wondered, "Why go back?" After all, the 1996 Classic there produced a winning string of only 31 pounds, 14 ounces far lower than the top creels at Lake Logan Martin, upstream from Lay on the Coosa River.
