PHILADELPHIA -- A successful field goal, as Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo discovered (and the world with him) late Saturday night, involves an intricate series of nuanced and technical operations.

And as the rain began to descend Sunday on Lincoln Financial Field, Koy Detmer found his thoughts racing -- against his considerable will -- back to Romo, who inexplicably botched the hold of a certain game-winning field goal in Seattle.
