France's Poiree wins 20-km men's biathlon race

ANTERSELVA, Italy -- Raphael Poiree of France won a 20-kilometer men's individual race at the biathlon World Championship on Tuesday.

Poiree finished in 56 minutes, 14.6 seconds without missing a target.

American Tim Burke finished seventh (1:27.6), the second-best U.S. finish ever in the World Championship.

"After this race, the smile is going to be there for a long time. I am so happy to have a race like this," he said.
