Where's the next great women's star?

It's been a tough week for women's tennis. Most of the big names -- Mauresmo, Henin, Clijsters, and the Williams sisters -- took a pass on Indian Wells, one of the three most prestigious tournaments held in the United States. The star player who did show, Maria Sharapova, didn't show much, drowning early in a sea of double faults and unforced errors. This is the best the WTA has to offer?
