American Hammer beats Romero to keep crown
PALMA DE MALLORCA, Spain -- Sarah Hammer of the United States kept her title in the 3,000-meter individual pursuit Friday, beating Rebecca Romero of Britain at cycling's world track championships.
Hammer finished in 3 minutes, 30.213 seconds -- 3.196 seconds ahead of Romero. Katie MacTier of Australia was third in 3:36.306.
