Gilbert was five-year Michigan State assistant

YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Michigan State assistant AnnMarie Gilbert has been named head coach at Eastern Michigan University.

Gilbert has spent 16 years on the sideline, including the last five seasons as a Spartans assistant. During that time, Michigan State went 120-44, and in 2005 reached its first NCAA title game. As Michigan State's recruiting coordinator, Gilbert helped bring in top-25 recruiting classes each of the past four years.
