Manfredo is at it again

Super middleweight Peter Manfredo (27-4, 13 KOs), a star of the first season of "The Contender," loves being active, which is why he is going to fight for the third time in three months when he meets David Banks (14-1-1, 2 KOs) June 20 on "Friday Night Fights" (ESPN2) at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut. "I'm back again," Manfredo said this week at a news conference. "I fought last month. It was a nice win. I got [nine] rounds in with Ted Muller. It was a fun night for me. These are the steps I have to take to become a world champion. When you don't get a chance to fight, or [you] lose, you have to start all over again to get back there. It's not like the Red Sox losing a game [and then playing the next night]. I'm going to do my thing and work my way back to another title fight."
