Former LSU WR Davis agrees to five-year deal with Chargers
The San Diego Chargers on Monday afternoon reached a contract agreement in principle with first-round draft choice Craig Davis, ESPN.com has learned. A speedy wide receiver from LSU, Davis is expected to challenge for meaningful playing time in 2007 as part of the team's young pass-catching corps.
As the 30th player selected overall this year, Davis will sign a five-year contract. The deal is believed to contain about $5.5 million in guaranteed money and could be worth more than $11 million ...
