UConn commit Walker emerges as best in Vegas Main Event

LAS VEGAS -- The last day of the Main Event finally produced some games worthy of main event status. The quarterfinals and semifinals featured highly competitive games, with some coming down to the final buzzer. After a couple of days of one-sided wins and very few marquee individual match-ups, the final day saw some of the best players as well as the best teams compete against each other for the tournament title.
6-2 combo guard and UConn commit Kemba Walker (Bronx, N.Y.), who matched up with 6-4 G Willie Warren (Fort Worth, Texas) for the tournament championship, led his New York Gauchos team to the title. The New York Gauchos utilize a four-guard attack very similar to the 2005-06 Villanova team that advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.
