In the middle of his first run, Shaun White rotated through a stalefish rodeo five on one of the halfpipe's big angled walls. At the apex of his air, a girls voice came rising out of the crowd. "I love you, Shaun!" the voice squealed. Shaun landed the trick, powered through a series of back-to-back 540s with flip trick variations of all kinds, and then lost control on his final 7. Somewhere in the crowd, that girl contributed to the collective groan.
