Labonte credits new crew chief for back-to-back top-10s

Imagine where Bobby Labonte would be had Doug Randolph been his crew chief all season. Two races. Two top-10s. The last time a Petty car had consecutive top-10s was in 2001, writes David Newton.

BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Forgive Bobby Labonte for wondering what might have been had Doug Randolph been his crew chief for the entire season.

Since replacing Paul Andrews two races ago, Randolph has helped the 2000 Nextel Cup champion claim consecutive top 10 finishes -- ninth at Michigan and eighth at Bristol -- for the first time since the 31st and 32nd races of last season.

There is growth to be had. We've just got to grab it.
