Spinal cord injuries not limited to the NFL

When Buffalo Bills tight end Kevin Everett lay motionless on the field at Ralph Wilson Stadium on Sept. 9, some 1,700 miles away, in Odessa, Texas, a piece of Joe Beene was lying there with him.

For Beene, the scene was all too familiar.
