Bears have more problems than QB

After studying the Bears and Lions game from this past weekend, it is right for head coach Lovie Smith to give QB Brian Griese another chance to start this Sunday. Although some of Griese's decisions and throws weren't on point last weekend, neither were the receivers who dropped too many passes or the offensive line that didn't protect well. The Bears' offense didn't look prepared for some of the pressures Griese saw against Detroit and running backs Cedric Benson and Adrian Peterson didn't do well blocking Detroit's blitzing linebackers.
Griese missed a few check-down throws on top of the interceptions he had against Detroit. He was keying on one receiver at times, which gave the Lions' safetys time to double-down on the intended receiver. Chicago's passing game has to be simplified this upcoming Sunday against the Packers in order for Griese to get into a flow and sustain long drives on offense.
