Hockey Afternoon in North America

The NHL kicked off its Columbus Day/Canadian Thanksgiving afternoon schedule on Long Island, with a matchup between the Washington Capitals and New York Islanders. Olaf Kolzig is playing like it's 1999 all over again. After kicking off the season on Saturday with a 23-save shutout performance over Carolina, he promptly went out and held the Islanders to only one goal.
