Murray rolls past Mirnyi in 52 minutes at St. Petersburg
ST. PETERSBURG, Russia -- Second-seeded Andy Murray defeated Max Mirnyi 6-2, 6-2 Tuesday and advanced to the second round of the St. Petersburg Open.
The 16th-ranked Murray broke Mirnyi twice in each set to win in 52 minutes.
''Andy has surpassed me in all aspects today,'' Mirnyi said. ''He has neutralized my attacking game with passing shots and there were no doubts about the winner of the match.''
