Teammates and friends? Not going to happen for Edwards at Roush Fenway

It's not really necessary for teammates to be friends, but a level of respect needs to be present. Marty Smith writes Carl Edwards better hope for respect, because being friends with his Roush Fenway Racing teammates isn't likely.

Teammates don't have to be friends.

Matter of fact, history shows they can completely detest one another.

Shaq and Kobe hated each other all the way to three straight NBA titles with the Los Angeles Lakers. It could be argued that the 1985 Chicago Bears are the best team in NFL history. Coach Mike Ditka and defensive coordinator Buddy Ryan couldn't stand one another, but they used each other well to win Super Bowl XX.
