As the thrill and excitement of recruiting gives way to apprehension and anxiety, it's easy for the process to become overwhelming. What starts off as a lot of fun becomes an extremely stressful experience for the entire family, with all the mail and all the telephone calls that at one time so much desired turning into a huge annoyance.

It is also very difficult for the athlete and parents to finally turn down colleges and college recruiters that have been recruiting them for many months. Relationship building is a huge part of the recruiting process, and to break that bond is not an easy thing to do for anyone.
