Panthers CB Deloatch set for surgery for torn ACL

Fourth-year cornerback Curtis Deloatch will miss the rest of the Carolina Panthers' season after tearing his left anterior cruciate ligament in Sunday's loss to the Indianapolis Colts, the team confirmed Monday afternoon.

Team officials worried on Sunday that the knee injury would end Deloatch's season, and an MRI exam on Monday substantiated the damage. Deloatch will be placed on injured reserve and undergo surgery when swelling in the knee subsides.
