Considine's shoulder injury sends safety to IR

The Philadelphia Eagles have lost starting strong safety Sean Considine to a season-ending shoulder injury, which he suffered in Sunday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

The Eagles placed Considine, a third-year veteran, on injured reserve Wednesday. He started all eight games and had 47 tackles, one interception and a pass defensed.
