Rice's Reasons

Wyoming native Travis Rice has a Wild West philosophy when it comes to contest riding: Gun for Gold or narrowly miss the graveyard. "You either win or go out in a blazing flame," he says matter-of-factly. During the WX11 Snowboard Slopestyle Finals it was the latter, and spontaneously combusting on a frontside double-cork 1080 cost T-Rice a shiny medal, a big ol' check, and some serious QT with Sal Masekela.
