Before we get to the blog love, here are a couple pieces of inbox housekeeping:
This week's story on bid yield generated a lot of (correct) discussion that we should have addressed relative seeding as part of the evaluation. I agree it should have been mentioned more prominently in the piece, although just using a Pete Tiernan-style PASE (Performance Against Seed Expectations) analysis wouldn't have been sufficient. It would have been more instrumental to look solely at how the mid-tier teams that got in did. Having Florida win the national title makes the SEC look better, but that doesn't mean that the rest of the league individually lived up to expectations.
