Someone will take a chance on Alexander, but it will be a gamble

With the Seahawks signing a pair of running backs, former MVP Shaun Alexander's days are numbered in Seattle, and finding a new home may be tougher than it looks.

Despite having former MVP Shaun Alexander, Seattle struggled mightily to run last season and, at one point, all but abandoned the running game completely and turned the offense over to QB Matt Hasselbeck.

To alleviate this problem, Seattle not only beefed up the offensive line, but also spent a nice chunk of change on two free-agent running backs with very different styles: T.J. Duckett and Julius Jones. The Seahawks obviously feel they are a contender and in position to win now, but it begs the question: Where does that leave Alexander, a fixture in Seattle over the past eight seasons?
