If the PGA Tour membership had to vote for one of its own as player of the year through the opening dozen tournaments, Tiger Woods might very well be a unanimous selection.
Assign the same task to Best Ball Nation, however, and it's unlikely Woods, who has played in just three stroke-play events, would garner much support. Neither would Phil Mickelson nor Vijay Singh, each of whom has been decent value for the cost, but hasn't necessarily performed above expectations.
