Helo-1, an Alaskan State Trooper helicopter, arrived that afternoon. Rescuers used body bags to package Stark and Von Alvensleben, marking Stark's body with an 8-foot probe pole. But the weather was getting nasty again. "We were able to fly out with the injured folks, but we weren't able to get back in to recover the bodies due to blizzard conditions that returned," says Lt. Barry Wilson, search and rescue coordinator for the Alaska State Troopers.
