I asked him how Joe Calzaghe's support compares to Ricky Hatton's. "Ricky's a bit different," said Brian, "because he's got the football [soccer] supporters too, and they're used to traveling. But don't forget, Ricky didn't bring 20,000 fans to Vegas the first time he fought here. It took him several fights over here before that happened. People got used to the idea of Hatton-Floyd Mayweather being a thing to go to. Joe won't have as many people over here as Ricky did, but he'll have a lot. And he's not just known to boxing fans now. He won the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award, so he's one of the biggest guys in all sports in Britain now."
