Friday, 11:45 a.m. ET -- Fighters in the house

Several fighters, past and present, were in attendance at last night's bash: Floyd Mayweather Jr. and entourage (which included the single largest human being I have ever seen in my life; to figure out where Floyd was, you only had to look for a "version of Big Show"); Bernard Hopkins; Juan Manuel Marquez; Israel Vazquez; James Toney; Alexis Arguello; Simon Brown; Anthony and Lamont Peterson; Alex Ramos; and several of the youngsters (like Danny Garcia) who are fighting on Saturday night.

It's always nice to see the interactions between boxers on occasions such as this: Mayweather and Hopkins talking animatedly during breaks in the ceremony (well, Mayweather talking animatedly and Hopkins mostly smiling and nodding), and both legends counseling the Peterson brothers, who said while receiving their award that they modeled their professional and personal life in many ways on that of The Executioner.
