Douglas right at home with Fever

Back in 2005, when Connecticut faced Indiana in the Eastern Conference finals, Katie Douglas' eyes said what her voice wouldn't quite let her say so unequivocally. She'd been asked a lot about being back in Indy as the enemy. And she said then it was "cute" how fans in Conseco Fieldhouse gave her a hard time as an opposing player. Her eyes, though, said something else. They said that Douglas really didn't want to be the bad guy there. She was Indiana born and bred. She'd helped Purdue to the Final Four twice, winning it all once. She wanted to come home. It took two more seasons with the Sun, but that has happened. Douglas requested a trade for 2008, and the Sun reluctantly made the deal. Then Tuesday night at Mohegan Sun Arena, Douglas and the Fever didn't just come in and beat Connecticut. Nope, it was way worse than that.
