Abraham-Miranda I even better in English

Your weekly random thoughts • Wasn't it nice to be able to see Arthur Abraham-Edison Miranda I in broadcast quality and in its entirety on Showtime Too the other night? The network picked up the rights to show it as part of the promotion for Saturday's rematch. I thought Showtime did a nice job with it by adding its own graphics and having Steve Albert and Al Bernstein voice it over. It was much appreciated and well done. I have a DVD of the fight in German, so I've seen it several times (and it's a terrific fight), but it was a great service to American fans who don't go the DVD route or scour the Internet for fights. I wish Showtime, HBO or ESPN would make more of a habit of showing important overseas fights on a delayed basis. They wouldn't cost all that much either, relatively speaking, and the production on a big German telecast, for example, is every bit as good as an American telecast.
