Minor Achievements: Will Fields return to Chicago?

College quarterbacks, or players who have been highly recruited to play quarterback in college, don't always make good baseball players.

Sure, you do get Matt Holliday, Todd Helton and Joe Mauer, but you also get Joe Borchard, Josh Booty and Chris Weinke as well.

Then again, there is probably some level in between those two groupings, which is where White Sox third baseman Josh Fields resides.

With Joe Crede, a player with a history of back problems, experiencing some stiffness in that area recently, it's a good time to check in on the player he beat out for a starting job.
