Does first-half success lead to World Series titles?

Do teams that have the best record at the All-Star break usually go on to World Series titles? Story

At the All-Star break, the Angels and Cubs shared the best record in baseball at 57-38, a .600 winning percentage. If you think that win percentage seems a little low for the best team in baseball, you're correct. Not including the four years (1959-62) in which two All-Star Games were played, this is the lowest win percentage ever for the best team at the All-Star break.
