Thursday, 9:30 a.m. ET -- What's on tap

Normally, the final prefight news conference (which takes place today) involves sitting through an hour of formal comments from everyone before we all crowd around the main event fighters to ask the real questions. This time the PR folks smartly set it up so that the key media had an opportunity to speak quietly with the fighters before the news conference. They also arranged a separate newser for the undercard fighters. As a result, the news conference went smoothly and quickly, we got to ask all the questions we wanted, and the undercard fighters get their moment in the sun instead of having to sit in the stars' shadows. -- Kieran Mulvaney
