One of the most difficult parts of grading players is trying to figure out what kind of effect the offseason had on them. In many cases, they will repeat their performance levels of the previous season, but there are also numerous times when their production will dramatically change for better or worse.
The preseason often is not a very good barometer of this change, but Week 1 certainly is (albeit within the limitations of small sample sizes).
