BALD KNOB, Ark. — Jimmy Mize rolled easily out of one of the 12 beds at Mingo Lodge, and started putting on his waders and camouflage jacket.

It was 5 a.m., and instead of running to his truck, as he does on a typical duck hunting morning, he instead stumbled to the kitchen, looking for food.

Mize is used to hunting the public water of Lake Millwood in south Arkansas.

It was a slow, pressure-free morning.
