Wilkerson agrees to minor league deal

BOSTON -- Outfielder and first baseman Brad Wilkerson has agreed to terms with the Boston Red Sox on a minor league deal that could pay him up to $2.5 million if he's added to the major league roster.
Wilkerson would get a one-year contract for the major league minimum of $400,000. He could earn $1.1 million more in roster bonuses and $1 million in performance bonuses, said a person with knowledge of the negotiations who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the deal was not yet official.
