UNC threw a blanket over Oklahoma, but now the Tar Heels draw a deeper foe
For 38 minutes, Blake Griffin shouldered the Oklahoma Sooners with 23 points and 18 rebounds in a performance that further proved his status as the projected top pick in the NBA draft. At times his show was spellbinding -- dunking, diving and otherwise captivating the crowd that packed into Memphis's FedExForum on Sunday evening. Unfortunately for the Sooners, that awestruck audience often included the four red-clad players sharing the floor with Griffin.
With only one other OU player scoring in double digits, the North Carolina Tar Heels cruised into the Final Four thanks to a surprisingly strong defensive performance that bodes well for their chances in Detroit.
