A number of very good unemployed coaches wouldn't mind another crack at the big time. But because half the league has changed coaches in the past 12 months, a limited number of openings will be available. Plus, Washington might be the only place where a coach could earn the big money that has been thrown around in recent years.
Mike Fratello is one guy who isn't afraid to say he would like to return to the sideline. During the Pistons-Nets game Wednesday night, the YES Network broadcaster reiterated he has remained interested in coaching since he was pulled aside in December 2006 and told Tony Barone, not he, would coach the Grizzlies that night.
