Wednesday Roundup: Trout's bat is "legit"
Millville (N.J.) High School outfielder Mike Trout, whose hair is as green as his wallet will be in two months (thanks to a bleach job and a bad reaction to a hair cleanser), had three hits and belted two more home runs Monday, both towering shots, described as "legit" and "huge" by a scout in attendance. "That one felt pretty good," Trout told the Philadelphia Daily News. "I knew that was gone."
Trout has been put into the leadoff spot by his head coach Roy Hallenbeck, who made the move so teams would feel less inclined to pitch around his star outfielder. Trout is expected to be a first-round selection this June.Want to know the other hot draft prospects? You'll get that and many other MLB draft questions and answers when you become an ESPN Insider.
