20K expected for Tillman tribute run

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Organizers expect 20,000 runners for the fifth annual Pat's Run, which celebrates the life of Pat Tillman.

Tillman was a star football player at Arizona State and played for the Arizona Cardinals. He quit the Cardinals to join the U.S. Army Rangers after the terrorist attacks on 9-11.

He was killed by friendly fire in Afghanistan in 2004.

The 4.2-mile run starts Saturday near Sun Devil Stadium and ends on the 42-yard line.
