Simeon Varlamov and Jonas Hiller proving fresh legs more important than sea legs
Anaheim's Jonas Hiller and Washington's Simeon Varlamov were relative unknowns two weeks ago. The 26-year-old Hiller has spent his rookie season splitting time with former Cup winner Jean-Sebastien Giguere, while the 20-year-old Varlamov is a recently promoted and essentially unknown backup of Jose Theodore. Though they were playoff neophytes when they entered Round 1 of the Stanley Cup playoffs, they have proved instrumental in advancing their teams.
