Webb retiring after 14 years

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Bill Webb, the track and field coach at Tennessee for the last 14 years, is retiring at the end of the current season.

Webb, an assistant with the program for 10 years before becoming head coach, led the Volunteers to two NCAA and four Southeastern Conference team championships. Tennessee won the 2001 NCAA outdoor crown and the 2002 NCAA indoor championship. Eighteen athletes won national titles in individual events under Webb.
