Rice stays in front of K-State, 3-2 in the third inning

HOUSTON -- Wasn't this supposed to be a dream pitching matchup?

The ballyhooed battle between Rice's Ryan Berry and Kansas State's A.J. Morris hasn't lived up to its hype as Rice leads 3-2 after three innings.

The Owls jumped ahead with two runs in the first inning and added another in the second inning when Steven Sultzbaugh scored on a wild pitch. They have pounded out seven hits in the first three innings against Morris, who has allowed that many hits in only six of his 15 starts ...
