Mizzou's Gibson dominates
Saturday's regionals resulted in several names doing themselves a favor while others were unable to take advantage of an opportunity to improve their draft stock.
Those Who Helped Themselves
• Though his velocity sat between 83-87 mph, Missouri right-hander Kyle Gibson went eight shutout innings over Monmouth in the Oxford Regional, striking out eight and scattering six singles and a walk amongst his 102 pitches. Arizona State's Mike Leake went the distance against Oral Roberts, striking out a career-high tying 15 and yielding just on run on five hits.
