WENATCHEE, Wash. -- The Farrar home offers a spectacular view of the Wenatchee Valley and Columbia River, but you have to earn it. The house sits near the top of a daunting stretch of road that rises more than 600 feet in one mile. With an average gradient of 12 percent, it is a beastly little climb.
